There sure are a lot of cults, aren't there?
It never ceases to amaze me what evil is perpetrated under the banner of heaven.
Every time I see something new about David Koresh, all I can think of are those dozens of children who burned to death.
Waco: American Apocalypse is just the latest doc to be trotted out on yet another 'anniversary' of this tragedy, but this one does an EXCEPTIONALLY good job demonstrating how inept the ATF and FBI were, in no small part because each failed vertically, to say nothing of how poorly they collaborated laterally.
A disaster, no doubt about it, and I remain unconvinced they'll do any differently — or any better — the next time around.
Nevertheless, I wish them peace.
To a man (and woman), the toll of that day taxes them still, the only scars overshadowing their physical ones being the psychological variety.
