It's a quiet, earnest, authentic movie.
It's also a difficult movie.
In actuality, it's a drinking movie about alcoholism and loss in which a small number of basketball scenes occur.
There's no happy ending, and certainly no Hollywood/Disney ending.
I respect that, but left feeling pretty sad and heavy.
I expected to leave feeling jubilant, motivated, excited.
All this being said, just calibrate your expectations accordingly. "Feel good" is not in the cards for this particular date night.
