First off, you gotta know this: it is not "based on true events," all marketing to the contrary. (Unless, of course, you include the Tate murders in your wide net, and 1970s stories about Grandma's house being burgled. Trust me on this; I checked.)
That being the case, it's now far less interesting fare, agreed?
Agreed.
And so, we are left with an 85-minute slasher film starring "Man in Mask, Dollface, and Pin-Up Girl." (I checked that, too.)
The Strangers: Prey at Night is a sequel to 2008's The Strangers starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman (gosh, whatever happened to Scott?), and features Bridge to Terabithia's Bailee Madison and Bill Pullman's son, Lewis, being chased around a Kentucky trailer park by idiots in masks.
You are now prepared for your next round of Trivial Pursuit (and not much else). Knock 'em dead, Kiddo!
p.s. If they ask you about Prey at Night, just tell 'em it's lame.
Signed,
