Decades ago, "I could watch him read a phone book" is what they'd say about a great actor, and that's certainly the way I feel about Denzel Washington.
But that's about the best thing I can say about The Little Things.
It's a movie that doesn't really go anywhere, amount to anything, and while the actors are fabulous, they have very little to say.
It's a slow-burn, wannabe thriller, but it rarely simmers and never thrills.
Too bad, because it bore the potential for greatness...but mostly winds up just boring.
NOW, that's not to say Don't see it, because it's loads better than sitting on the couch every night trolling Netflix, just calibrate your expectations accordingly, knowing how great these guys COULDA been with a stronger script.
