The Iceman Tapes: Conversations with a Killer (1992) was succeeded by The Iceman Confesses: Secrets of a Mafia Hitman (2001) and The Iceman and the Psychiatrist (2003).
As always, HBO documentarys are top-notch—including their old stuff.
I sorta stumbled into watching these right after watching The Iceman (2012) with Michael Shannon, and dang was he good.
I honestly believe Shannon did his best work before 2018's Knives Out.
Everything after that somehow feels half-baked.
