More of the same old, same old.
It's well-executed (though Act III is hyper-busy and obnoxious), but these superhero franchises are starting to wear thin. Really thin. Micron-thin.
This one was so lackluster that Sasha Calle ("Kara Zor-El") has already been replaced. No juice.
The troublemaking Ezra Miller may prove to be the franchise's kryptonite, though, if he doesn't get his act together ASAP.
Monetarily, once you add DC Studios' marketing and distribution costs to production costs and salaries, The Flash needs to earn a minimum of $400-$450 million just to break even.
It's projected to eke out $270 million globally, so DC Studios will have some decisions to make.
