Intended as a slow-burn sexual thriller of sorts, The Beguiled is mostly just b-o-r-i-n-g.
Zero music.
The most exciting characters may be the tree moss and antebellum home.
It's lush, and beautiful, but only skin deep.
It could have had so many wonderful twists and turns, but instead it sorta creeps along and then, poof, is gone like a summer breeze.
