Lauren's thinking a C+, but I'd give it a B-.
It's not like anyone thought it was going to be GREAT, right?!?
I mean, it is the third in this particular trilogy, and we all know what happens in Part III of ANY trilogy: jambalaya! Cram as much of everything in, then stir and simmer 'til well done.
So, yep, that's the case here, and I'm fine with it.
My only regret is an older regret: What might the final three of nine episodes looked like had George Lucas remained at the helm? I understand he wanted "grittier," especially for Luke's final act, and that could have been very interesting indeed.
Oh well, "what might have been" is a lousy way to live one's life, so onward and upward we go.
Next!
