Same as prior installments in the franchise (a bit jumbled), but Act III literally brought several folks to their feet—whooping and hollering and carrying on—which is EXACTLY the sort of unbridled, enthusiastic response the industry, local cinemas, and moviegoers deserve right now.
Plus, with its whopping $253 million box office take in just three nights (Thursday, Friday, Saturday), Spidey is proving to be the financial windfall everyone needs as we head into even more highly-anticipated Christmas releases.
Who'da thunk that "friendly neighborhood Spider-Man" so many of us loved as kids might prove to be the icebreaking juggernaut most likely to dislodge a heretofore pandemically frozen box office some 59 years after his creation? Not me, that's who.
