Well, trailer #2 gave me all the feels, but the movie itself proved to be, in a word, atrocious.
Its creators have taken lots of flack in the media for 'making the whole thing up,' the 'fable' approach not being (in my estimation) a gamble that pays off.
It's just so incredibly claustrophobic as a film, with these horrific violins screeching in the background for TWO WHOLE HOURS that are so cloying and ominous they'd put James Wan in the corner with the heebie-jeebies sucking his thumb.
The theater was packed with giggly couples, one of whom got up and stormed out about 20 minutes in, another departing halfway through because the film is that unbearable.
I'm fine with 'creative license' (as in The Crown), but this is just preposterous.
