Rats! It's not very good...and certainly nowhere near its predecessor. It lumbers along, mimicking the first, but only smolders without ever catching fire.
(Josh Brolin sure is having quite the year, though, isn't he? Avengers, Deadpool, Sicario, and more where those came from.)
I'm intrigued by how they've set up what will be a third in the series, though. "Hitman-Soldier" indeed.
Perhaps most unsettling, however, is the passing of composer Jóhann Jóhannsson. He had begun some tremendous work, and shall be mightily missed. It seems that only the good die young, and I'm sick of it.
