Darn.
This was supposed to be a monster production for Netflix by Zack Snyder, but it got DESTROYED by online trolls and fanboys.
Sofia Boutella is formidable in her role, and really takes some baddies to town, and I enjoyed Anthony Hopkins who voices a C-3PO sort of droid, but that brings us to most everyone's complaint:
Rebel Moon is essentially a re-telling of Star Wars.
I agree with that sentiment; it really does feel like a poorly disguised rip-off.
As such, dang, why bother, man?
Welp, Episode Two (Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver) arrives April 12th of this year, giving us a second chance to wonder why.
