"Spectacle" is the word that comes to mind, and not in a bad way.
It's a real feast for the eyes and ears. Tremendous, thunderous score. Very "THX."
I don't recall seeing many of these films, but I enjoyed this particular installment.
Amazing special effects, insane set decoration, and so-very-detailed costumes. Pretty impressive, actually (or maybe not, given it's Disney).
It's the same quality as Beauty and the Beast, for whatever that's worth.
Anyway, we enjoyed it. And the food. And the company.
I won't see it again, I suppose, but it was a fun time and—like I said—quite the spectacle!
Oh, and very kid-friendly, yes. Allusions, merely allusions.
