Goodness, what brave survivors!
The show's okay.
The interviews are great (many are quite moving), but the segues and such are gooey/cheesy.
It definitely feels like something from People Magazine as opposed to, say, BIOGRAPHY or the usual true crime channels.
For the record, Episode Two's interview with Holly K. Dunn (the only victim to survive Angel Maturino Resendiz, aka the “Railroad Killer”) is POWERFUL. Boyfriend Chris Maier did not survive the attack that night, but what Holly makes of her life thereafter beautifully honors Chris—as does Holly's House, which empowers victims of intimate crime and abuse by providing support, promoting justice and preventing violence.
For me, that one interview alone made watching all five episodes worthwhile. It's definitely the gold nugget of the series.
