Man, they always make such first-rate productions, and this one's no exception to the rule.
Really good.
Currently resting at 7.6 on IMDB with 56,000 reviews.
While it's hard for me to say it's excellent, it IS hard to look away.
Oddly, at 02:43:00, it's the longest runtime in franchise history (25 films to date), but I felt the antagonists didn't get nearly enough screen time and almost/kinda/sorta didn't really seem to feature prominently at all.
That being said, the film absolutely FLIES BY, nearly three hours feeling like 20 minutes, so obviously something is working, perhaps intensity.
Anyhoo, if you like Bond, you'll like this kinetic one.
And who knows, maybe a smidge more than most, because this outing's got a lot of heart—and that's not something we're typically allowed to see in our perfectly coifed and tuxedoed protagonist.
As gadgets go, nothing quite tops 'heart,' as it takes a licking and keeps on ticking well after time runs out.
