Anyhoo, this is one of those pseudo-movies that centers around re-creations of, in this case, noteworthy duels involving legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi.
Well, he did a lot more than swordfight, but you get the idea. You can read more about him here, if curious.
If you like bushido in general, you'll dig it.
If not, you probably won't even endure the wall of subtitled Japanese, to say nothing of the long and drawn-out nature of analysis.
Whereas fencing takes a while (what with all the en garde-ing, feinting, parrying, riposte-ing, counter-attacking and such), Japanese swordfights last only a second or two, so a docudrama like Musashi involves a split-second of hyper-action sandwiched between 20 minutes of pre and post-fight analysis.
All in Japanese, of course.
