I tuned in because I was interested in hearing LCD Soundsystem's origin story first-hand, from James Murphy himself—and yes, I got that—but on the whole the doc is simply too loud, too frenetic, and way too depressing.
And the drugs in the bathroom. My stars!
The artistic process is messy, I know, but a lot of these people's lives look and smell like dumpster fires.
They are so lost, my friend, so lost.
