Serviceable, and a decent soundtrack, but color me biased: they don't make teen films quite like they used to.*
I suppose they never will again.
*Dollars to donuts my parents said the very same thing after seeing The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink, having grown up on Rebel Without a Cause and Giant. Fair enough.
