I remember Richard's interview eons ago on 60 Minutes or ESPN or wherever/whenever/whomever, and vividly remember thinking at the time, Man, this guy is DESTROYING his children's lives!

In hindsight, and with their involvement in the film, it's clear to me now that he was not Narcissus, but Pygmalion.
