Remember "Jake" (Michael Schoeffling) from Sixteen Candles? How about Lorenzo Lamas from Falcon Crest? Home Improvement's Jonathan Taylor Thomas, anyone? Rick Moranis? Gene Hackman? Phoebe Cates? Freddie Prinze Jr.? How about Mia Sara and Carey Lowell?
I'm always curious about where are they now.
Schoeffling's a furniture maker, Lamas flies helicopters as a tour guide, Jon graduated from Harvard then Columbia and is low-key (though he has directed a couple things in the past decade). Rick became a dad and then a grandfather. Gene is 94 now and living in Santa Fe, and Phoebe retired to marry Kevin Kline and become a full-time momma. Freddie married Sarah Michelle Gellar (with whom he has two children, a daughter and son) and retired in L.A. Mia became a writer, and Carey transitioned to ceramics in Sag Harbor.
As for Kendra, she became a realtor, and while her initial foray into the business world was rocky and dramatic, she has now sold hundreds of multi-million-dollar homes in Southern California—earning more money in her first two years than she did in the 15 years prior.
There is, it appears, life after fame.
It's more peaceful, I hear.
