You can't help but smile at The Rock, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black, but The Next Level is, well, a level down.
I enjoyed the 2017 original more, though that's nothing new.
It's tough catching lightning in a bottle twice, but if we're really counting, 2017's was second to Robin Williams' first in 1995.
Whatevs.
Follow-ups, sophomore albums, second tries...they often equate to slumps, and that's how I feel about this latest round.
