So much to share here, but it would spoil lots, so I shall simply say:
—Good. Very good.
—Some of the worst horrors are where you least expect them.
—I didn't want it to end (despite its clocking in at 2 hours and 15 minutes).
Hasten forward quickly there, ye [over 14] horror fanatics!
Parental Caution: Heed the R-rating, which is well-earned, as there is bloody violence, too many F-bombs to count, lotsa adolescent summer boy talk, and innuendo that induces more than a little squirming. It's all delivered in a Stand By Me/Halloween vein, and often uproariously so, but I would be remiss not to mention it, as it caught me a bit off guard.
On the bright side, it's finally autumn 'round here, and It captures that vibe perfectly.
A bit cheesy, and sometimes thin, but on the whole a very solid foundation, and one that I look forward to revisiting.
