Here's what I will say: Inventing Anna is Exhibit Infinity in 'art imitating life.'
In exactly the same way Anna Sorokin-Delvey (superficial and flakey and fake) captivated then vexed wealthy socialites for money, Netflix's goofy presentation of her dramatic life story kept me awake well past my bedtime.
Judging by the series' viewership numbers, millions of others experienced the same!
Julia Garner does a great job (odd accent notwithstanding, though in all reality it's probably really on-point!), but Anna Chlumsky (from 1991's My Girl) perplexes me. I would have thought she'd be a much better actress by now, but she plays so hammy that I can't decide whether she's serious or sloppy.
But like I said, I'm still watchin', and so are you!
