Author/Director Donato Carrisi does a great job with clever storytelling, lighting, cinematography, and atmosphere, but Into the Labyrinth is flat, stupid, and cannot hold a candle to his prior work, The Girl In the Fog.
He's probably several films away from becoming the next Michael Mann, but I remain optimistic that he can! Well, in his own unique way, of course. "Better to aim for excellence and fall short than shoot for mediocrity and hit it," I guess.
