I recently saw the 2022 period piece Emily starring Emma Mackey as Emily Brontë and it was lovely.
Soon thereafter, at a restaurant in Santa Fe, I came across this biopic about Gustave Eiffel featuring, wouldn't ya know it, Emma Mackey.
I won't spoil the ending for you, but you gotta see it.
One of the things I so appreciate is that everyone in Eiffel speaks French. Novel concept, non?
It boggles my mind why studios continue to push English-speaking productions about momentous stories having absolutely nothing to do us.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, economics. That, I understand.
But in today's day and age, I just love stumbling upon something original, with native speakers speaking their native tongue!
