Good lord, so hard to wrap my brain around this one.
It's what happens when a married couple allows a parasitic cult leader dressed in counselors' clothing to set up shop and reside within one's home.
What did they think was going to happen?
I can't imagine a husband allowing his wife's friend to kick him out of bed and abuse his children while he goes and lives in a hotel for a year or two. With zero contact with his kids, two of whom are college-age.
