Ken Burns and his l'il ol' team over at Florentine Films never fail to disappoint: They possess the Midas touch!
Country Music is no different.
Granted, I'm only a couple hours into the entire 16-hour monster-of-a-series, chipping away as I fall asleep each night, but man oh man, Burns' stuff is just great and narrator Peter Coyote is good as ever.
The twangy bits are a bit unbearable to my ear, but it's the storytelling, history, and larger-than-life characters that leap off the screen and morph into earworms that'll keep you comin' back for more.
