Looks ominous, feels current, and should be great—but it's not.
It's a bit of a slog, and while I understand director Alex Garland's choice to represent something so large by focusing on something so small (four actors), I kept feeling like I was missing "the real show."
And what happens with the President is, of course, ridiculous. Nowhere near what would (or would not) happen in real life.
All told, a well-intentioned swing and a miss.
