Despite being associated with The [illustrious, widely respected, and highly regarded] New Yorker, this HBO treatment amounts to a bit of a puff-piece, which is to say it warranted similar gravitas digitally that it experienced on the page when the story first broke in October 2017.
Unfortunately, what could have been told tautly in, say, 2-3 hours yawns across half-a-day of television!
Regardless, a story that remains overdue. Glad it's seeing sunlight now.
