A very promising premise that falls completely flat.
Sadly, because character development is spotty here (at best!), we learn very little about what made these ferocious competitors tick.
It is hinted at, and often, but so shallowly that it is less filling than cotton candy.
I was very anxious to see it come together (thinking that it might in the end), and hung with my fingernails on the back of the seat in front of me in great anticipation...but it never materialized, and that is both a fault and a bummer!
