The first 15 minutes are wonderful. Simple. Electrifying. Beautiful storytelling.
After that, it's wall-to-wall FX, and for a film about female empowerment, there sure is a lot of violence perpetrated against women.
"Feels like" 40% of the movie is watching women getting beat up. Not exactly my cup of tea. Very hard to watch, and by no means "entertaining."
