I had a really good time, in part because of such hilarious audience participation. The crowd went wild!
The whole film has a very Fast and Furious + Miami Vice vibe, so if you like glittering discotechs, hot rods, cold beer, and endings featuring family BBQ picnics on downtown skyscrapers none of the characters could actually afford, you've come to the right place.
It's a joy seeing aging stars laugh at themselves, which they do quite a bit. No one takes himself too seriously here.
Martin Lawrence, in particular, is a hoot! I can't see him without recalling Sheneneh or Big Momma, so, like Jack Black or Eddie Murphy, the moment he appears—serious or not—I die laughing. Not sure what effect that has on someone's self-esteem, but as long as the checks don't bounce, I suspect they find a way to carry on.
The men are both getting some creases on their faces...Will Smith is now 51, Lawrence 54, so we're all hugging the same timeline. Ride or die, baby, ride or die.
