Meh. It's mostly fog machines, shadow play, and jump scares.
They do manage, however, to throw in just about every imaginable apparition, so I'll give 'em jambalaya points for effort.
I've always enjoyed Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, and their streak with me is not endangered here. They still rock.
Cutie pies Madison Iseman (Jumanji, Goosebumps, and 37 other things) and newcomer Michael Cimino are, ahem, dolls. Great chemistry together.
There's a rad pizza guy, too, but whatever.
