I remember hearing someone old, famous, and wise once say, "The celebrities who cannot safely leave their homes for fear of being mobbed in public—Elvis, Marilyn, Michael Jackson, Prince and the like—wind-up killing themselves, whether accidentally or purposefully."
Yep, that sounds about right.
It is tragic every single time, but decreasingly surprising.
