It's really quite good.
I feel bad saying anything worse, as James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez have been working together on it for 13 years, and Cameron has been illustrating and writing the script since 1992.
While the special effects are brilliant, and the relationships and emotions feel rather authentic, there is still something a bit tinny about it. An edifice that is hard to see through.
Who knows. Maybe it was the 3D glasses...?
A lot of heart, though, and great "motorball" action sequences, and the line "I will not stand by in the presence of evil and do NOTHING" brought the house down.
A kick-ass, 300+ year-old warrior-girl trapped in the hardbody (their words, not mine) of a 13-year-old. Bound to be drama, and in this case, most of it very good.
p.s. Edward Norton!
p.p.s. Filmed on a 97,000 sq ft soundstage on RR's property in Austin! Still standing. Go see it if you like. He said you are welcome anytime.
